What is the Best Smartphone to Shoot?

Introduction

With the fierce competition in 2020 between smartphone to shoot manufacturers worldwide, and with the convergence of the level and the difficulty of comparison, an important question jumps to the forefront, which phone has the best camera for photography?

Founded in 1993, wired, the American magazine tried to answer the question: “the iPhone 12 pro max is the best in terms of processing and colours, the pixel 5 has a simple and comfortable interface, and the note 20 ultra is suitable for low light conditions.” The magazine sent five smartphones that are the best in the world to a professional photographer to find out which of them is the best in terms of photography.

No matter how much you like one phone or another, the best phone selection standard is its excellent long-lasting battery and the ability to take good photos, which is the critical factor for users to care about.

The internet is full of comparisons and analytics for smartphones in different ways made by technology geeks, but what is the case with a professional photographer? And what would the comparison of smartphone cameras be from his perspective?

How Did I Take The Test?

The magazine sent five phones to professional photographer Rebecca Isenberg depicting lifestyles and portraiture (the art of photographing people). The phones are Samsung galaxy note 20 ultra, iPhone 12 pro max oneplus eight pros, opo find x2 pro and google pixel 5.

Rebecca took the five phones to Norwich in medium-light conditions for daily photography. I also tested them in poor lighting conditions using led light in a private studio to prevent external light.

In 2018, the Huawei b20 pro won the test, and in 2019, the pixel 4 won, and without further introductions, Rebecca chose the iPhone 12 pro max as the best camera phone in 2020.

thus were the results of the five phones:

iPhone 12 Pro Max – Best Smartphone to Shoot

mark: the best camera for a mobile smartphone in terms of image quality.

Primary camera: 12-megapixel resolution and f/1.7 aperture with optical installation technology.
Close-up camera: 12-megapixel resolution and f/3.4 aperture with optical installation technology and real 2.5x optical zoom
wide camera: 12-megapixel resolution, f/2.4 aperture and 120°a field of view.
Pros: excellent image processing and distinctive colours.

Cons: the wide camera should be improved and an increase in the degree of black in low light conditions.

Price of the device: is about $1200.
the iPhone 12 pro max is the best in processing images, showing details, and taking high-quality photos with rounding up to 3x.

Google Pixel 5 – Best Smartphone to Shoot

Result: realistic images.

Primary camera: 12-megapixel resolution and f/1.7 aperture with optical installation feature.
Wide camera: 16-megapixel resolution, f/2.2 aperture and 107°a field of view.
Pros: very high colour resolution with a simple and easy-to-use interface.

Cons: the wide camera is relatively weak, and the rounding capability is weak compared to the remaining devices.

Price of the device: about $800.

Users of this series know how simple the interface is and the ease of taking pictures, and shared the image and pointed out the accuracy of the high colours enjoyed in low light conditions, but the main problem suffered by google pixel 5 is an approximation.

As google delayed the rest of the companies in adding cameras to their phones. The new phone can round to 2x without any confusion in the image but remains less than its competitors.

This is a comparison of the five phones in low light conditions. Represents the order of images in the top row from right to left: google pixel 5, oneplus eight pros. In the bottom row from right to left: Samsung galaxy note 20 ultra, iPhone 12 pro max, oppo find x2 pro.

The wide-angle camera is also weak and has lower results than its clarity and refined detail display counterparts.
